Introduction

Kite Trail, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, OK, USA. This is an easy trail which highlights the diverse ecosystems of Oklahoma. It is best to leave the trail and traverse through the canyon, where you can find plenty of recreational climbing opportunities. The spring is beautiful, with Indian Blanket flowers growing above the canyon walls.

Conditions

Hot in summer, cold in winter. Avoid rainy days because granite becomes very slippery when wet.
