Introduction
A pleasant walk along the dale from Millington
Conditions
A bit boggy in winter, and return leg is on the road (which is pretty quiet)
Detailed description
Follow the path down the track from the northern part of the village. Cross the stream and climb the big hill.
When you reach the gate, you either either climb further towards the farm, before turning right, or turn left to follow a permissive path across the field. The latter may be muddier, but involves less climbing.
Go down into the small side valley (turn left to cut the route short here) or carry on on the steep steps, before descending again, and reaching the road. Turn left on the road, and pay attention of the wooden posts with letters on them. See if you can work out what they spell! At Millington Wood (where the road zigzags) you can walk into the pleasant wood, or carry on back along the road to the village.
