A long and fairly hilly walk taking in some limestone upland, fantastic views over Monsal Dale, and finally a pleasant riverside walk along the Wye.
Generally good paths, can be flooded along the river in heavy rains.
Hazards and warnings
Old mine workings litter the area. Beware of uncapped mineshafts in areas which have been disturbed by mining.
A long walk on a hot day in late May. Conditions were dry, with a the odd cloud, but strong sunshine.
