Introduction
A short walk around the bridges over the Tyne in Central Newcastle, on the day of the Great North Run 2008
Narrative
We did the walk in the morning around the time the Great North Run. Many roads where closed, and the street thronged with runners and spectulators.
High lights included seeing the Red Arrows flypast of the river, and being able to walk over the Tyne Bridge, when it was closed to traffic.
