A short walk with a long history. Although the walk teems with tourists in summer, you'll see everything from history, to people parading along the river to see and be seen.
A summer afternoon, and some time to kill before a meeting, left me with a few hours to fill before needing to be on the Strand. So I decided to try a walk I had made many times before, along the south bank, on Queen's walk.
The tide was out, and the weather exceptionally hot, so some of the narrow strip of sand, above the slimy rocks exposed by the tide had become a impromtu beach, with sandcastles and all.
