We have just started to get the outdoors bug, since we came back from North Wales and obviously Snowdon. All freshly kitted out we walked Sally's route the other day, with our kids 9 and 6 year old, as we got to up the hill to the bare moorland there is a little junction left takes you back to the road straight on to the moors. the kids thought it was great to stop and sit on the rocks for a quick flask of Veg soup and a snack. We enjoyed the walk very much, (and the cafe just down the road from the car park!) this website lists the distance as 3.63 miles. according to the info in the car park that distance is for walking around the nearby woods, the distance of walking around the res is 5 miles! Thanks Sally for a great walk!
