Introduction
Staying at Bowness we caught a boat up to Ambleside and then walked through the town and out the back following the road until we found the footpath leading up Wansfell Pike.
Conditions
Warmish with light rain early on easing into a breezy, sunny day with light cloud.
Hazards and warnings
No real hazards.
Detailed description
A very easy and short walk up to Wansfell Pike from Ambleside. No tricky stuff - just stright up and down. Other than having to walk up a (albeit small) fell it was a pretty easy route and suitable for most people who can walk OK. Obviously not suitable for wheelchairs.
