Introduction
This walk takes you down hill from Newlands Corner, past the Chalk Pit, over some fields before crossing the A248 and entering Silver Wood. You pass through Shere where you can stop in one of the pubs or visit the village store before passing under the A25 and up a long steep climb to North Downs way, which you follow most of the way back to the car park.
Conditions
Mostly bridleway with a few sections crossing open fields. Roads through Shere.

Steep and long climb from Shere to the North Downs Way, a number of stiles.
