Detailed description
An attempted soaring flight
Narrative
Launched from the lower launch on a lovely day, with wind straight onto the slope at 5-6m/s.
Some thermals were drifting through and popping the wind up occasionally.
Felt strange after take-off, due to my new harness adjustment and this took my attention away from the task of exploiting what lift was there. I was getting something as I turned into wind at the ends but I wasn't comfortable scratching close enough to make it across launch without losing a lot of height.
Nice landing, anyway.
