Introduction
Considerable parts of this walk are on either indistinct or untracked country. The log books indicate that several people have had navigation problems. However it is quite easy to follow for an experienced walker.

Pleasant walking through forests, high country woodland, alpine vegetation on mountain plateaus, narrow valleys with lakes, plains and beside the upper reaches of the Mersey River. Several peaks can be climbed on the journey
